I love the snow

I love when it snows, it is just so pretty to me! There is just something about snow that brings out the kid in all of us!!! On Friday afternoon the snow was coming down, but didn't stick and then that evening it started coming down pretty hard and started sticking, we took the kids out for just a minute to see it and then we went to bed, when we woke up it was beautiful!!

Today, Saturday, what had fallen was real slushy, but we got out in it anyway! Maybe it'll snow again soon and we can build a snowman next time!!!

Last night could have ended Michael's basketball season for 2009-2010, but it didn't!!! His 8th grade team came out with a vengance last night...it was awesome! They ended up winning 61-48. This was the best game they have played all season, I was so proud of each and everyone of them, they played like a team. And, of course, I was very proud of my husband!!!!

Also, Papa came up to watch the game, and Michael couldn't have been happier, it was really great to have his support last night! I forgot my camera, which I was so upset about doing, but I don't think pictures could have even shown you how great those boys did!!! Now we play Lumpkin County on Friday night, if we play like we did last night they won't be beat!!!! It has really been an awesome basketball season, I've enjoyed watching these boys and getting to know them...GO WILDCATS!!!

"and the Shofar Blew"

I just finished reading this 435 page novel and I must say that this is one of the best books I have EVER read!!! Francine Rivers is an amazing author, she draws you in to the book from the get go!!! I read every night before going to bed and there were nights I could not put this book down until after midnight, I had to find out what was going to take place next.

This book is about a Pastor, who in the beginning is on fire for Lord, however, he gets power hungry and begins making wrong choices and honestly forgets about God...he forgets about everyone but himself!!!

This is definitely a must read for anyone who likes to read, you'll be hooked by the first few sentences! If your looking for a new book to read or just curious, please take my advice and pick this one up today and read it, you'll be glad you did!!!

The Shack

I just got finished reading "The Shack" by William Paul Young. Before beginning this book a little while ago I had heard several different opinions about the book...some say it was terrible, some say it was wonderful, I wanted to form my own opinion so I borrowed it from my mother-in-law and read it myself. I must say that I truly enjoyed this book. With the opinions I had heard previous I went in with an open mind! This story is fiction and that's how I looked at...however, I must say the author makes some great points!

I am amazed at how he describes the trinity, there were times when I couldn't wrap my mind around what he was saying! When reading the author's blog you can clearly see that he has a close, personal relationship with God, the Father and I honestly belive that as he was writing this book God was right there with him helping him along the way, some of you may totally disagree with me on that! I just can't imagine a person writing this intricately doing it on his own!!!

I'm not going to go into a lot of details about the book, because some of you haven't read the book or finished the book yet...but I will say you need to read it! I truly enjoyed this book and thought it was great...go in with an open mind and I think you will be blown away...now it's time to start another book..."and the Shofar blew."
