1st Soccer Game

Coach and Carrie

Daddy and Daughter, how sweet!

Carrie showing off her jersey!

We did get to have our first soccer game tonight and it was a lot of fun! We didn't think Michael was going to get to go, but luckily he did. He was supposed to have a tennis match tonight, but it rained just enough to wet the tennis courts and he had to cancel the game! I was thrilled that he was going to be able to see Carrie play in her first game.

We got wet, but that's okay. We played good. Carrie is still real timid and actually ran from the ball a couple of times, but we will work on that :)! Our team, the Bulldogs, scored 3 goals, which is more than I had expected. As coach, I was so proud of my team, they played great!! Our next game is next Tuesday and KK and Papa will be here, so we are excited!!!

Soccer

Well, we decided that since Carrie was of age this year to play a sport that we would have her play something this year. Well, it turns out that the only sport she is old enough to play here in Rabun Co. is soccer. (i'm fine with that, considering I played in high school, michael on the other hand isn't too thrilled)! Well, not only is she playing, but I am coaching her!! It has been an experience!!! I am coaching 4,5 and 6 year olds and most of our practices have been MASS CHAOS!!! These kids have an attention span of about 2 minutes, if that! The kids are all great and really I am glad that I am coaching, it's just sort of hard coaching 8 4,5 and 6 year olds plus trying to keep Andrew happy (yes, he has to go to EVERY practice with me). I think he likes playing more than Carrie does though! I'll let you know how the game tonight goes, if it doesn't rain!!

New Blog

Well, I am not sure if I have done this out of sheer boredom (probably not) or because I was looking at other people's blogs and thought it'd be neat, but I decided to create a blog! I figure since our family and friends, most of them, live 6 hours away from us this could be a neat way to keep in touch! There's no time to start something like the present, right? Well, I hope you'll enjoy watching our family over the internet :)!
