Andrew starts Pre-K...because Mommy has job!
Andrew started Pre-K at the Creative Learning Center this past Monday, August 23 and he did fabulous! He enjoyed his class and even made several new friends. He started school because mommy is now employed with Macon County Schools in Franklin, NC as a middle school counselor! So far I'm loving my job! It's going to be an adjustment for our family, but I know that the Lord is in control and He will take care of us all!
Andrew on the 1st day of school
So ready to go to his new school
One the 2nd day of school, we didn't have his backpack for Monday so I wanted some pictures of him with it...isn't it cute?
Okay, Day 2 didn't go as well as Day 1, but he perked up once he got to school, so his father says because he's the one taking him to school

"Hissy Fit" By Mary Kay Andrews
I have been on a role with reading here lately! Once I start on a book, its like I can't seem to put it down until I'm finished!Last week I took the kids to the library to pick out some books for them and me...I checked out two books. "Hissy Fit" is the first one I read! It was great! It didn't end quite like I had hoped, but it was a good book!
This book is set in Madison, Ga! Maybe that's one reason I liked it because I semi know the area, we actually drive through Madison when we go home!
The story is about an Interior Designer,Keeley. The book begins at Keeley's reheresal dinner. Everything is going great until she walks into the Country Club's Board Room where she sees her fiance' and her Maid of Honor (her best friend) messing around. Keeley throws the biggest 'hissy fit' you've ever seen there at her rehersal dinner!
She ends up meeting a very wealthy man who wants to hire her to head up a remodeling project of an old antebellum home there in Madison, at first she is reluctant but then gives it a shot.
Keeley's mom left she and her dad when Keeley was very young, she decides to figure out where her mom has gone to and why she left, all while designing this monstrosity of a house! What she finds out is astonishing!
I couldn't put this book down, I had to know what was going to take place next! The ending is good, but not exactly how you would expect it to end...or atleast I would have ended it differently! I must warn you there is some foul language in this book and a few places that gets a little racy, but all in all it was a descent book! Now off to another book!

School House Rocks - Tyrannosaurus Debt
Carrie and Andrew have the entire collection of School House Rock, and they love it! Sometimes I'll sit down with them and watch the videos with them, they are great! This video came on and I'd never seen it and of course my first thought was "our Gov't officials could learn something from this." I hope you'll take time to watch it.

"My Sister's Keeper"
What a great book! This book had me hooked from the very beginning, I didn't want to put it down. I would stay up for hours reading at night and then I would have to make myself put it down and go to bed. This book is about the Fitzgerald family that has 3 children, Jesse, Kate and Anna. Their oldest, daughter, Kate, was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia at the age of 2. Jesse was not a donor match and therefore they had a third child by growing her in a petri dish to be an exact match for Kate. They hoped that the cord blood they could give to Kate from Anna would cure her, however, it doesn't. Therefore they continue to use Anna for other procedures to try to cure her older sister. At the age of 13 Anna finally has enough of being poked and prodded and chooses to file a law suit against her parents for the right's to her own body. There is a lot more to this book, and it is fabulous!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to someone looking for an easy read. It is a tear-jerker, so get the tissue box out while you read. I bet if you start it you won't want to put it down either!
