Middle School Champs

Basketball season has come and gone! Michael had a great group of boys, not only was this group talented, but all very well behaved! We have enjoyed this season, like every season!
I am very proud of Michael and his coaching accomplishments! Although, he would get embarrassed at that statement and tell you it has nothing to do with him but the boys, I would disagree! He puts a lot of time and effort into coaching all of his teams...whatever sport that may be! Coaching is not an easy job, but it is rewarding, even for the coach's wife! I love being a coach's wife, getting to know his players and letting them become a part of the Keown family, even if it is just for a little while. We have developed relationships that will last a lifetime!
This season Michael's boys went 18-0! This was a fun team to watch play! I look forward to watching each one of them in the future!

Christmas 2011

We had a great Christmas this year! I didn't get out of school until Wed, December 21 so we weren't able to get down there too early to be with family. Luckily, Papa came and got the kids the weekend before I got out of school and the kids were able to go be with their grandparents for several days without mom and dad, they LOVE that!
We celebrated with all of our family, like every year! On Christmas Eve we go over to grandma's for dinner and gifts...love getting to see all of our extended family there! Christmas morning we were woken up at 5 am by a very anxious little girl, she couldn't wait to see if Santa had come! Michael, the kids and I got up to see if Santa had come, and yes he had! The kids loved their gifts from Santa! We let Papa and KK sleep in, although I know they heard us in the living room! We went to church at Coolidge, it was a very sweet service, then back to the Keown's for lunch and gifts with KK, Papa, Matthew, Christina and Colt. We enjoy that time as well!
After naps, because we were all tired we trekked over to my dad's house where we ate dinner and gifts again with them. The kids love going over there to see their Uncle Chandler!
We really had a great Christmas! God has blessed us this year and I look forward to seeing how he will use us this year!
