I am so very proud of my 3 year old son, Andrew!!! He is now fully potty trained..NO MORE DIAPERS!!!! This is a great feeling! However, it does mean that he is growing up and I have no more babies in my house! I can not believe how fast time has flown, it still feels like just yesterday that I brought him home from the hospital!
He has been so much easier than Carrie in potty training ,however we did have to transition from diaper to pull-ups to underwear with Andrew, but not with Carrie (but she was nearly 4 before she was potty trained). It probably also helps that he has an olders sibling to watch and learn from!
Again, I am so proud of my big boy, Andrew! Way to go!!!!

A couple of new snack recipes...YUMMY!
Granola- This recipe is in our church cookbook and it is delicious!
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup Strawberry or Apricot preserves (I think you can probably use any type of preserves you want)
2 cups Quaker Oats, quick or old fashioned, uncooked
3/4 cup Coarsely chopped nuts (I use pecans)
Combine butter, sugar and preserves in a 3 qt saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until blended and smooth. Remove from heat. Add nuts and oats, mixing until dry ingredients are thoroughly coated. Spread mixture evenly into an ungreased 13X9 baking pan(I did spray my pan with Pam). Stir occaisionally (I stirred about every 15 minutes). Cool and store in a covered container in a cool place or in the fridge.
Monkey Munch or Puppy Chow (this is a combination of recipes I have one from a friend, Christy Pierce, the other out of our church cookbook)
1 stick butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 (12 oz) bag Chocolate Chips (I used milk chocolate chips)
1 box Chex Rice Cereal
2 cups powdered sugar
Melt butter in a sauce pan over low heat. Add peanut butter and choolate chips to pan and stir until melted. Put cereal in a very large bowl. Once peanut butter mixture is to a pouring consistency pour over the chex cereal, stir until cereal is coated with mixture. Once cereal is covered sprinkle powdered sugar over cereal and toss until covered. Additional sugar may be needed to completely cover cereal. Store in an air tight container.
If you make either of these let me know what you think!!
