"Going Rogue"

The lastest book I read was Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue." I actually really enjoyed this book, it opened my eyes to political life. This is not an easy read, so don't read this if you don't want to invest some time and effort! It took me a couple of weeks to finish this book, however, I wasn't able to devote a whole lot of time each day to reading either.

If you are a Sarah Palin fan I think this is a must read for you! This book goes through her political life, where she began and how she ended her reign as Governor of Alaska.

I enjoyed this book and would suggest if you are looking for a book that will make you think and teach you something, then this is the one for you to read! Now I'm off to start a new book....an easy read!

Mike Keown wins Republican Primary

July 20, 2010 was a special day in the Keown household! Mr. Mike won the Republican primary with over 80% of the vote in a 3 way race, that is nearly impossible! We got to be there for the "Victory Party" and what a blast it was! Now the real race begins against an 18 year incumbent...we know it's not going to be easy, but we know that God is in control and that HIS will will be done, not ours! We are so proud of Papa, especially that the reason he is running is not for his own glory but that he is thinking about us and is wanting to make this a better country for Michael, me and our family and those that will come after him! Please continue to pray for this campaign and that the Lord will work wonders through it!

Beach Trip-2010

We had a great time at the beach this year! This year the kids really enjoyed being at the Ocean a lot more than the past few years. Andrew made a new buddy in David, Michael's cousin, anywere David and his girlfriend, Ansleigh, were he wanted to be there too! He also had fun with Jason, who played ball with him some too! Carrie and Andrew also had a great time trying to play with their younger cousin, Colt. I'm not sure they understood that he couldn't exactly play just yet, next year will be a different story though!

This year was a bit different because KK and Papa weren't there, KK did get to come for a couple of days but Papa none. They are so busy with the campaign!

Family Picture

This is a picture that was taken when we went to the Capitol back in April to attend Sine Die. The photographer took a few pictures of the 4 of us, but this is the only one she sent us, we were all hugging up to each other real tight. I love my family!
